Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Weave ("Weave", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our workspace for game development teams (the "Service") at weavejam.dev. This is a preliminary policy and may be updated as the Service evolves.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a salted hash), or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email, and Google account identifier.
- Content — projects, assets, boards, ideas, comments, and other material you or your team upload to the Service.
- Integration data — when you connect a third-party service such as GitHub, the access tokens and repository metadata needed to provide the integration.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the Service is used, to help us improve it.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- Send essential account communications, such as email verification and password resets;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
3. Google account data
If you sign in with Google, we access only your basic profile information (name and email address) for the purpose of creating and authenticating your account. We do not use this data for advertising, and our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, storage, and email delivery providers), with members of the organizations and projects you join, and when required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords and encrypting integration tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
